We dined for the first, (of many times to come!), at Gaslight on Main on an early Friday evening. We were pleasantly greeted outside as we tried to determine which door to enter. From our first steps inside the lovely restaurant with white cloth covered tables, everyone was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Our waitress, Chloe, offered excellent recommendations of amazing appetizers, entrees and desserts. While waiting on our friends, my husband and I had a perfectly mixed Old Fashioned and Lorelei cocktail, along with a glass of an Italian Primitivo with our dinner. Our table shared fantastic fried brussel sprouts, (the best we've had), and unique French onion dumplings. My entree was tender and so flavorful chicken saltimbocca. My husband and friends' choices of pan roasted chicken breast and Atlantic salmon were equally delicious. Maja, the charismatic restaurant manager, stopped by our table several times. After talking with her about choosing this restaurant from the wonderful online reviews, many mentioning her, she brought three incredible desserts, the flourless chocolate torte, raspberry creme brulee and amazing tirimasu for us to enjoy, and did we ever, even though we'd told Chloe we couldn't eat another bite! Gaslight on Main is our new favorite restaurant, including anywhere we've been in Greensboro and Winston-Salem. My husband did tell me I should just tell people it's "okay" so we won't have to fight the crowds it deserves on the numerous upcoming times we plan to attend! Thank you, Gaslight on Main for offering such a special dining experience!!

Our first time at Gaslight on Main and we will be back! Heather was an amazing and attentive server. It offered a great environment. The food was fantastic and all looked so delicious so we ended up with 2 appetizers (French onion dumplings - a must order!), a glass of wine, and 2 entrees (Sweet corn risotto - another must order! And the ribeye). Management was also very sweet and attentive.

My husband & I visited Gaslight for the first time last night, for our wedding anniversary dinner. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was filled with warm ambience. We were seated straight a way (a few min before our reservation) & greeted by Heather, our waitress. She was kind throughout & recommended some of her favorites from the menu, why by the way, did not disappoint. I ordered a duck entree (first time) from the “specials” menu. It arrived with great presentation, & literally melted in my mouth! Thanks Heather, for the fabulous recommendation! Overall, we were so pleased, from start to finish, with our entire experience!! Also to note, there was a lady, that we later found out was named Maya (manager)…she is a hustler & literally running to make sure very table had everything they needed. I wanted to shout her out because often the managers are overlooked, but she was on it & always had a smile while doing it! Great job, to the entire staff last night! We will be back soon!

My wife and I came to Kernersville, NC for the first time to check it out, and The Gaslight was the only restaurant we tried, and it was a great pick! We came in without a reservation for dinner on a Saturday evening, and we were lucky to be seated right away. We were greeted by a very friendly hostress with a wonderful smile. The entire space and common areas were welcoming, easy to walk in, clean and comfortable. (Side note: This is not one of those restaurats where your clothes end up smelling like food at the end of your experience.). Also, our waitress, Heather, was fantastic! She was professional, friendly and helpful. This is a restaurant offering New American options, so the menu is not that exotic and has options you'd be familiar with but does offer delicious fusions. We tried the Fried Goat Cheese & Beet Salad, the Sweet Corn Risotto with added chicken, French Onion Dumplings and a seasonal special: Arepas with shaved BBQ meat. For dessert we went for the Pumpkin Crème Brûlée. Everything was delicious! There is a full bar and the drink menu offers all kinds of cocktails, and a few options of wine and beer. We I tried a coupe of sweet cocktails, and they were great! Gaslight on Main is in downtown Kernersville, which is about 15 minutes drive time from Winston-Salem. It is located in a cozy and cute strip with other small businesses around. The entire building has a shared free parking lot with quite a few spaces. Final thought: This is a fantastic and sopisticated place for a date, business meal or a special occasion involving adults; I would not recommend it for families with small children. Overall, 100% recommended.

Service and food are always excellent! We were in the other night and a couple sitting next to us made an odd request on Open Table for a black and white picture of Danny DeVito and Nicolas Cage to be on the table when they arrived. The staff took the request the extra mile and produced a shrine to the pair including candles and flowers. That says everything you will ever need to know about the service at The Gaslight! The attention to detail and drive to exceed customer expectations is second to none! Make your reservation today! The food is excellent and the staff ALWAYS goes the extra mile.

Hubby and I went here for a random date during the date. The service was 10/10. Kyle was very nice and made excellent drinks. The food was top tier and we got to meet the cook who was Ben. Ben and Josh made excellent food. We cannot wait to return! Such an amazing intimate experience.

Wow! What an incredible dinner we had tonight. If you have not been here yet, you must make it a priority to go. The food was absolutely delicious, the service was excellent. Chef Daniel came out to our table to say hi and that was a nice treat. Maja who is one of the co-owners was so very kindhearted and you can tell she loves what she is doing. We had the lobster ravioli, ribeye, bread service (amazing) French onion dumplings (wow!), pumpkin crème brûlée, peach cobbler and the perfect wine pairing with our meals.

This is the nicest restaurant in Kernersville, and for good measure. Service and ambiance is exceptional. The Caesar salad is quite delicious, as was the lobster ravioli and the salmon. My one complaint is that the lobster was slightly overcooked. But the ravioli was delicious, extremely creamy and flavourful. Salmon was cooked to a perfect medium. Beautiful plating and presentation. Would definitely keep this place in mind for a nicer fine dining experience.

There’s a reason this place has 4.8 stars at the time of writing. If money grew on trees, then I would be eating here every day they are open. (Brunch experience) Everything was absolutely excellent. Coffee was delicious. The Apple beignet appetizer was perfectly flavorful without being saccharin sweet. The drinks menu was unlike anything I had ever seen before and at first I had reservations, but after trying the drink, my wife ordered, I knew that the manager had a gift. Flavorful (again without being overly sweet) aromatic, complex and absolutely delicious. Both mixed drinks were the best I’ve had in years. The brunch options were straightforward, but 10 out of 10. The lighting, atmosphere, service, Decor and experience was absolutely stellar. I don’t appreciate the post industrial open rafter design that makes for an echoey room. This place was intimate, quiet and enjoyable. For dessert, we had some kind of chocolate cake probably a flourless torte served with a peanut butter, fluff, and toffee crumbles, and it was once again the perfect blend of delicious and flavorful. I wanted to stay here all day, but unfortunately, they close after brunch time. Honestly, one of the first places I’ve eaten at this year where me and my wife both loved everything and can’t wait to come back as soon as we can. I eagerly look forward to the dinner experience.
